My Kidz Video

 Our objective is to educate, enlighten, and elevate every child to their full potential. This is the philosophy for My Kidz. We provide the resources through donations and contributions with our annual Back to School Drive, distribution of Thanksgiving Dinners, and Toy Drive.  In addition, due to COVID-19 and the aftermath effect, we also supply numerous personal hygiene items.

2023 Gardening program at Lighthouse youth & Family Services

Lighthouse Sheakley Center for Youth

We developed a Gardening Program in collaboration with the Cincinnati Zoo Master Gardeners for the youth ages 18-24. These young men and women were taught how to grow various flowers, vegetables, and herbs for cooking.  They were educated on how to prepare the ground, plant seeds/seedlings, weed, water, and feed.  In addition, during this program they were provided valuable information on how this can help feed themselves and family members They really enjoyed watching the "fruits of their labor" flourish.

      Our Programs

      My Kidz Toy Drive

      We gave our first toy drive, in 2013 collecting over 300 toys. Since then we have received a total of near 20,000 toys/clothing items at our annual Toy Drives. 

      Community Connections with Cincinnati Public Schools

      We have partnered with eight Cincinnati Public Schools which include Bond Hill Academy School, Evanston Academy, Frederick Douglass Elementary School, Hughes Stem High School, North Avondale Montessori School, Rockdale Academy, South Avondale Elementary School, and Woodward Career Technical High School.

      We have provided personal hygiene items, clothing and food cards for these children and their families. We also host an annual Back to School event. This occurs every August before school starts. Due to the aftermath of Covid-19, the need is still even greater for support: laptops, access to computers, tutors and reading assistance.
